Katahdin Sheep are known for their excellent carcasses off grass, high quality grass-fed meat, out of season breeding, easy management and shedding ability. Because Katahdins are a hair sheep breed (no wool ) they are very easy to manage since they do not need to be sheared because they shed their hair in the summer. Also with no wool you have no lanolin or what is called wool grease which can impart a taste to the meat of the wool breeds. We sell our lambs for breeding stock or as gourmet quality lamb meat. Go to the live animal page for current animals available for sale. Or go to the lamb meat pages for meat pricing. You can also call us at 802-376-5474 for availability or to order.
